Venetain blinds

There are many different kinds of blinds, using different systems and materials. A typical blind is made with slats of fabric, wood, plastic or metal that adjust by rotating from an open position to a closed position by allowing slats to overlap. There are also blinds that use a single piece of material instead of slats.

Window blinds reduce the heat from sunlight. Ancient Egyptian pharaohs had blinds made of reeds. The most inexpensive blinds in the 19th century were roller blinds, made of cloth.

Aah! The crowd favourite. The classic wooden finish applied to a wonderful product the Wood Venetian Blind

Since the late nineties, the wooden Venetians have become the overwhelming favourite window covering for most applications.

The reason is simple, they have the practical light control benefits of a Venetian blind, combined with the warmth , character and elegance of natural wood. In addition to this they are far more robust and hence more durable than the aluminium options, albeit at a small price premium.

The modern contemporary favourite, although no longer the biggest selling product, the clinical lines make these the most cost effective choice for modern interiors!

In openings where the setting sun generates unbearable amounts of heat at a certain angle, Venetians are generally the best option available. Add to this the ability of aluminium to tolerate moist environments and harsh sun, and we have a highly cost effective and attractive solution for almost all applications.

Aluminium Venetian Blinds are available in a wide range of colours and textured finishes including a wood-grain look and a perforated slat. Slat widths offered are 15, 25 and 50mm, with the 50mm version being the latest trend.

Our long-awaited addition to the venetian family is the ultra-flexible and Durable bamboo range.Bamboo grows the same amount in a week as trees do in a year, thus making it a more renewable resource. Added to this, Bamboo is more resistant to the harsh effects of moisture and sunlight.

Bamboo is similar in appearance to the Wooden Venetian with a more distinctive and defined grain which gives it a more rustic appearance.
